I didn't think your comment was insensitive - on the contrary it was something of a spur to a weekend of thinking and drawing and more drawing to come. I had hoped to post something so spurred today but it's disappeared from the cd somewhere between home and the library. It isn't finished yet anyway so maybe it's best to wait until it is.

It might not always have seemed so (because it was still pretty careless) but I used to take an age writing, editing, re-writing and re-editing each of my written posts on the old GoG and I just don't have time to do that in the library these days. Even then, I'd often feel like deleting them fairly soon after clicking publish. Just like drawing, acting, everything-ing, I guess it's a matter of confidence and I just need to do it to feel it but right now I don't feel it, nor do I feel I have anything to say. But thanks for your encouragement, and for the necessary spur of your initial comment.

I have been struggling on and off with how to move my own blog on. I get a wobble and worry that I'm "drying up" and am losing friendly readers and just gathering spam! Hmm - I'd kind of decided that I wasn't going to write about me and my life much if at all because I mainly want this blog to be my strips etc so any auto-biog/diary type stuff would have to be in strip format (and I'm not getting very much of that done right now). The main reason for this is because I just don't think I'm good enough at that kind of writing and doubt whether that many people are interested. I also find it difficult to relax into that kind of writing in the very public library and with time constraints. Generally I had planned to bring things up to date by posting the illustrated highlights from the old blog and then have a quick something about what I've been doing since then. But I'll have a think about it and see what I can come up with.

Dick - I tried selling the cards last Christmas but wasn't able to make it cost effective. Now if you REALLY want 5000 that would be different. As it is I'm going to try and flog the designs to a card company (which probably means they'll disappear from here if I'm successful).
