For one thing you dress properly so it feels like you're carrying a personal sauna around. For another thing the air is much drier and that makes a big difference. Also, Finns are actually quite nesh - they very rarely feel the cold because they wear so many clothes and keep their houses so hot. They marvel at northern lads and lasses oot on the toon in nobbut a vest of a neet when there's a gale blowin sleet doon from siberia like.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;CdV - thanks for the comments and review of the book. I saw the review and thought it might be you but haven't got round to email you to ask. I did email you a preview copy last year some time, to your old claranet or whatever it was email that you had on L&amp;TN. I'm glad you got to read it in the end.
